Our Mission

Lola Blankets is a tribute to Amy Higham, our Lola and the mother of co-founders Tommy and Will Higham. She lived a life devoted to the service of others and is the inspiration for Lola Blankets.

Through years of living with breast cancer and enduring its treatments, Amy found comfort in her soft, faux fur blanket—which also became a comfort to her entire family. Prior to Amy's passing, she gave each of her children their own blanket, just like hers, to bring comfort and love when she could no longer be there. To honor their mom and her love for them, Tommy and Will founded Lola Blankets in 2021 with the purpose of bringing life-changing comfort and innovative design to the world. 

In fulfilling this mission, Lola Blankets created Blankets for the Brave at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and has partnered with the Morgan Pressel Foundation to assist in their mission of early detection.

Blankets for the Brave is our program at Huntsman Cancer Institute serving women living with breast cancer and their families. The program has two main activities:

• Gifting Lola Blankets to women living with breast cancer on a monthly basis
• Donating 10% of all proceeds from our Rosewater blanket to the Huntsman Cancer Institute to fund research and treatment

If you'd like to donate directly to Blankets for the Brave, you can do so below. 100% of funds will go toward blankets and funding for research and care.

The Morgan Pressel Foundation increases access to breast cancer screening services in South Florida through funding mobile screening vans. Their mission of making breast cancer screening more accessible, has helped thousands of women in South Florida have peace of mind and detect breast cancer early.

Lola Blankets is proud to partner with the Morgan Pressel Foundation in pursuing the mission of early detection for breast cancer.

When you purchase a Pink Check Blanket, 10% of proceeds go directly to the Morgan Pressel Foundation. During the month of October, 100% of the proceeds go to the foundation.
